Infinifactory footprint score5/1/2023 ![]() ![]() The reason I think this is important is because I look at the graphs of all three and wonder where the top guy in each category is in everything else. This way if you had a low block and footprint number, but an excessive cycle number, it would reflect in your overall ranking. Then the list could simply be displayed in an overall fashion: Ranked 6th for blocks, 22nd for footprint, 2nd for cycles would yield an overall score of 30 (or you could divide all three to get a score of 10). I was thinking more along the point of ranking which wouldn't need anything more than addition. If it's something you don't want, then dont pay attention to it when/if they decide to do it. Simply adding the three up and comparing those globally would be simple. To optimize for footprint you must build tall and spend more cycles, to optimize cycles you need more blocks and bigger footprint.ĭo you represent the company? What evidence do you have that it would be tricky? They already keep track of all three stats as well as compare each stat to all players. Optimizing for each of these 3 stats requires different techniques, different production steps. It makes 3 versions of the level in most cases. I like it more the way it is now - each stat has a separate ranking. I know it is very satisfying to reach a solution that has low cycle, block, and footprint count but it would just stress people to weight each stat and decide which stat to sacrifice to get lower score in another stat to improve this global stat. I believe that these stats (cycles, blocks, footprint) are not comparable to each other and poses different disparity in different game levels and it would be impossible to make some fair "overal stat".
